This policy explains what information josephbarberphotography.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only.
Information you give me
When you submit an inquiry form, request a guide, or join the mailing list, you provide information yourself. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue, and any details you choose to write in a message field.
I use that information to reply to you, prepare a quote, deliver the resource you asked for, and where you have opted in, to send occasional email. I do not sell it.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and move through it. Google Analytics sets cookies and records information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring source, device type, and browser. It is configured for aggregate reporting and is not used to identify you personally.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally either way.
Third parties
Some parts of this site rely on outside services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — website traffic measurement
- Netlify — website hosting and form handling
- Pixieset — client galleries and print ordering, hosted at galleries.josephbarberphotography.com
- Google Fonts — typography
Client galleries are private and are not indexed by search engines.
If you join the mailing list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the footer of any email, or by replying and asking. Unsubscribing is honored promptly and permanently.
Your photographs
If you hire me, how your images may be used is governed by your photography agreement, not by this policy. I do not publish a client's name, home address, or a recognizable private residence without permission.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
